shop drop August 27th!
small-batch goods, stitched slow
After a quiet stretch of sewing and behind-the-scenes tinkering, I’m back with a fresh shop update for late summer and early fall. Every piece here was made in small batches from fabrics that caught my eye, reminded me of a story, or just felt too good to pass up.
Think one-of-a-kind tops, skirts you’ll want to layer as the days get cooler, crossbody bags that go everywhere with you, and home goods that bring a little joy to the everyday.
No mass production, no rushing—just the joy of making, shared with you.

about the maker
Hi, I’m Jess — maker, sewist, and occasional fabric treasure hunter. I run Paper Crane Theory out of my home studio, where I stitch small-batch clothing, bags, and home goods from fabrics that catch my eye (and sometimes come with incredible backstories).
My work is rooted in slow fashion: valuing the process, the materials, and the people who bring these pieces into their lives. Each item is designed to be worn, loved, and maybe even passed along with its own story someday.
When I’m not at the sewing machine, you can find me at the knitting table with friends, binge-watching The Great British Sewing Bee, or chasing down the perfect vintage print.
